In this authentic and luxurious apartment, located in the very center of Vilnius Old Town, Bonum Wood manufactured and installed a uniquely designed herringbone pattern floor. The apartment has an underfloor heating system, so we had to manufacture flooring that would be stable and have excellent heat conductivity properties. For this project, we chose a two-layer parquet construction consisting of a 4 mm European oak lamella (top layer) and a moisture-resistant 9-layer Baltic birch plywood (bottom layer).
Classic class parquet flooring with medium-sized knots was used for this project. The product has a distinctive warm milk chocolate color, which contrasts with the bleached wood grain. The walls in this apartment are painted white with blue accents – cool colors, so the color of the floor and the corresponding interior elements (curtains, furniture, lighting) were used to create a balance and a feeling of warmth and coziness in the home.
